The conclusion of GJNC at the beginning of this month closed the door on one season and a new door was opened with high school. Many schools began their tryouts as soon as Nationals finished and fifteen days later we are now watching players in their element of volleyball once again. One thing about club and high school players, it doesnât stop for those student athletes. Meet some student athletes who transitioned straight from club into high school and should be on the radar for this upcoming high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id=â179339â first=âSaniyahâ last=âSobersâ] is an OH 6 rotation player with great defense because of her skills and experience as a club libero.

Sabri Johnsonâs career changed from indoor to strictly beach outside of high school. Since being a beach player, it has forced her to work on all her skills of hitting, blocking, and setting. This makes for a well-rounded, adaptable player. Johnson can read the game and anticipate plays. Although I only saw Johnson play backrow, she is very capable of being an aggressive front row player. Her vertical helps her see over the block which contributes to her smart placement of the ball.
