It did not seem right to miss out on spotlighting spectacular athletes that had a stellar showing at the tournament just because the tournament was a little bit ago. With over 160 athletes in the 15 Open team, we have narrowed it down to 25 ALL-STARS. These 25 athletes proved themselves invaluable to their teams success over the three-day tournament.
Below are the four standout liberos that made it on the 15U Open All-Star Team from the Emerald City Classic.
Victoria Gao Victoria Gao 5'6" | DS/L Lakeside | 2025 State WA l WVBA 15 Adidas l 2025 l 5’5” l DS l Lakeside High School
Gao was the primary libero for the WVBA 15-1 team. An absolutely vital aspect of the teams lineup, she is a definite leader on the court. She plays with a lot of confidence, which is backed up by consistent backrow play. She brings a solid jump float to the service line that garners lots of aces and disruptions. She is well on her way to being a top libero coming out of the 2025 class.
Grady May Heinle l Athena 14-1 Gold l 2026 l 5’3” l DS l Central Catholic High School
Heinle was the primary libero for the Athena 14-1 team. She shines on the defensive end of the game. With an insanely fast reaction time and great defensive pursuit, the ball rarely hits the floor when Heinle is on the court. Although not utilized a ton, when set, she is not afraid to take a swing at the ball, with a great arm swing and an insanely high vertical jump. And her float serve proves lethal.
Madalyn Lebeck l OJVA 14-1 Gold l 2027 l 5’5” l DS l Rachel Carson School of Environmental Sciences
Lebeck was the primary libero for the OJVA 14-1 team, although 2025 Sidney Ginter would be seen in the libero jersey depending on the match. The only 2027 on the All-Star team, she plays well beyond her years. She is scrappy yet incredibly technical. She is very consistent on serve receive as well. Lebeck will be one to watch in the coming seasons.
Gabi Reich l CPA 15 Elite l 2025 l 5’8” l DS/OH l Mead High School
Reich was the primary libero for the CPA 15-1 team, even though they have two liberos suited up Reich sees the bulk of court time. Standing at 5’8”, she is taller than most liberos at this level. However, after watching her play, her ball control, especially her serve receive, is too good to not be in the back row as much as possible. She also brings a tough jump serve to the service line.
