It did not seem right to miss out on spotlighting spectacular athletes that had a stellar showing at the tournament just because the tournament was a little bit ago. With over 160 athletes in the 15 Open team, we have narrowed it down to 25 ALL-STARS. These 25 athletes proved themselves invaluable to their teams success over the three-day tournament.
Below are the four standout middle blockers that made it on the 15U Open All-Star Team from the Emerald City Classic.
Ravenna Coleman l WVBA 15 Adidas l 2025 l 5’9” l MB l Jackson High School
Coleman was the primary middle blocker for the WVBA 15-1 team. Incredibly athletic with an insanely high vertical jump, she is explosive on the attack. She does a good job consistently making herself available in transition. Blocking, she is a formidable force.
Alana Marrs l CRU U15 Baden l 2025 l 6’4” l MB/OH l Ellensburg High School
Marrs was a vital part of the CRU 15-1 team, splitting time between the middle and the outside depending on the match. Given her impressive stature, standing at 6’4”, she is a formidable force on the court. With decent ball control, she can attack on the outside and play across the backrow. In the middle, when she connects with the ball, it is lethal. Quick in transition, with a fast arm swing, and a high contact point, it often results in a kill.
Jada Johnson l Athena 14-1 Gold l 2026 l 5’9” l MB/RS l Jesuit High School
Johnson was a starting middle blocker for the Athena 14-1 team. A dynamic, athletic, and bouncy attacker, she has a high vertical jump, which coupled with a fast arm swing, proves deadly. She hits the quick with veracity and does a good job of being available in transition.
Lauren Wiese Lauren Wiese 6'3" | MB Eastside Catholic | 2025 State WA l SIVBC 15-1 Typhoon l 2025 l 6’3” l MB l Eastside Catholic High School
Wiese is the primary middle blocker for the SIVBC 15-1 team. Standing at 6’3”, she is a force tp be reckoned with on the court. She has a cannon of an arm swing and is relied on heavily to put the ball away. She puts up a solid and intimidating block. From the service line, she brings a tough jump float serve that garners lots of service aces and disruptions.
