Dickinson will heavily rely on Loyd to get the ball down and the outside hitter will continue to deliver, now as a senior. A very strong offensive player, she’s used to carrying the team’s load and has a great combination of physical and technical skills to get the job done. Loyd is a powerful hitter, but the success of her offense lies in her excellent decision-making, which helps her pick the right shots for each situation while also making very few errors. She’s also able to contribute on the backcourt, passing with efficiency, generating transition plays with her digs and creating problems for opponents from the service line.

Loyd did very well in our last showcase, in December, and also thrived during the club season, when she was one of the top players in a fun Club South 17-1 team – she’s now set to join Houston Stellar and play in her age group with 17 Elite. She’s very strong offensively, getting well off the floor, using her length well and seeing the other side of the court before making her shot selection. Loyd also contributes at a large extent on the backcourt, causing issues to opponents with her serving and generating transition plays with her defense.

Playing one age group up, Loyd made a big impact on Club South 17-1’s game. A very complete pin hitter, she was set quite often and sided out at a good rate, even when the conditions weren’t ideal. Loyd was steady all day and also played good defense, generating transition opportunities and keeping the ball alive. She also displayed a strong game from the service line, getting opponents out of system and firing a few aces.
