Sensational Senior Scorers – Vol 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The high school season is finishing up conference play and there are some players that are scoring at will all over the court.&nbsp; These young ladies cannot be stopped.&nbsp; They are scoring in bunches for their varsity squads and no one has been able to slow them down.&nbsp; This series of articles will be highlighting players in every grade level who are filling up the stat books.&nbsp; We are going to start with the sensational senior class and give props to the attackers who are leading the entire state in kills.&nbsp; Please help us recognize the following players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160324' first='Morgan' last='Castaneda']&nbsp;[2023] 5-10 Outside (HS: Redwood/ Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morgan is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our watch list.&nbsp; She is currently killing it for Redwood High School this season.&nbsp; Currently her kill total is at 462 on a super impressive and efficient .341 hitting percentage. &nbsp;Her varsity squad is sitting at 32-3 overall and also are undefeated in their conference play at 10-0.&nbsp; Miss Castaneda's offensive output is a huge reason why they are so dominant this season.&nbsp; I love how high of a contact point she has when she attacks.&nbsp; It makes it very difficult for opposing blockers to slow her down.&nbsp; The most impressive aspect is how she is able to still turn on the ball during out of system plays and hit line.&nbsp; She lets the ball be in a perfect position at her “1 o'clock” position of her body to control the line shot.&nbsp; I can't wait to update the rankings to see where she will fall on the list.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160301' first='Kaitlyn' last='Cabral']&nbsp;[2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: University Prep/Club: Synergy Force/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaitlyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our watch list.&nbsp; She stars on the outside for University Prep high school this year and plays club for Synergy Force.&nbsp; Currently she has the fifth most kills amongst all seniors in the entire state.&nbsp; Her tally sits at 453 kills on a jaw-dropping .418 hitting percentage.&nbsp; Her production has her varsity squad sitting at 36-3 overall on the season and also undefeated in conference play.&nbsp; She is no stranger to success as she led University Prep to their first ever state championship ship last season with her golden arm.&nbsp; When you watch her play the game, you see a true six-rotation player who excels in the back row.&nbsp; She has impeccable footwork while shuffling to the ball and always stays so balanced prior to contact.&nbsp; She will be someone who will have no problem making the rankings when the new update is released.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160313' first='Olivia' last='Babcock'] [2023] 6-3 Outside/Right Side (HS: Sierra Canyon/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Olivia is currently ranked as the 27^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig National Rankings.&nbsp; She is also currently ranked as the 5^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.&nbsp;&nbsp; She plays at Sierra Canyon High School and also club for the amazing Sunshine volleyball program.&nbsp; I watched her torch teams at nationals in Indy this summer and it was super fun to watch.&nbsp; Her athleticism was on full display for the entire four days.&nbsp; We are still watching as she currently has the 6^th most kills on the year amongst all seniors in the state of Cali.&nbsp; Her kill total sits at 424 on a very impressive .295 hitting percentage.&nbsp; She leads her team in attempts also at 953 and it is no secret why.&nbsp; This young lady can absolutely ball all over the court.&nbsp; She rises up with the best of them at every location along the net and can also score in bunches out of the back row.&nbsp; She has her squad at 30-4 overall and 9-1 in conference play.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:nov8vb@yahoo.com">nov8vb@yahoo.com</a>.&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following Cali Family!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
