Class of 2023 All-State Nominations – Outsides Vol 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 2022 High School season has been amazing so far!&nbsp; Along with our readers, we have been on pins and needles watching teams battle all season long.&nbsp; There have been some amazing tournaments and great district battles.&nbsp; We have been talking to coaches, reading tons of stats, and getting lots of video submissions from parents and players regarding how everyone has fared over the course of the season.&nbsp; As we are now into the playoffs, we will be discussing some players who are being nominated for our inaugural Prep Dig California All-State Awards.&nbsp; Our end-of-season awards are going to be different because we are going to consider all divisions/conferences together and pick the best of the best.&nbsp; The Outsides we will be discussing have been tearing it up and proving themselves all season long with some amazing statistics.&nbsp; Let's meet some of the nominees:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><a href="https://prepdig.com/player/alyssa-manitzas/"></a></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160313' first='Olivia' last='Babcock'] [2023] 6-3 Outside/Right Side (HS: Sierra Canyon/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Olivia is currently ranked as the 27^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig National Rankings.&nbsp; She is also currently ranked as the 5^th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.&nbsp;&nbsp; She plays at Sierra Canyon High School and also club for the amazing Sunshine volleyball program.&nbsp; She currently has some of the most kills on the year amongst all seniors in the state of Cali.&nbsp; Her kill total sits at 484 on a very impressive .295 hitting percentage.&nbsp; She leads her team in attempts and it is no secret why.&nbsp; This young lady can absolutely ball all over the court.&nbsp; She rises up with the best of them at every location along the net and can also score in bunches out of the back row.&nbsp; We are proud to have her in our rankings.&nbsp; Please congratulate her on earning a nomination for an All-State Award.&nbsp; Stay tuned to see who wins the award.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='159523' first='Torrey' last='Stafford']&nbsp;[2023] 6-0 Outside (HS: Marymount/Club: Sunshine/Verbal: University of Pittsburgh)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Torrey is currently ranked as the 14^th&nbsp;best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.&nbsp; She plays at Marymount High School and also club for the nationally recognized Sunshine volleyball program. &nbsp;Miss Stafford is a super dynamic pin attacker that can score from any location on the volleyball court.&nbsp; She proved to me that she is one of the best players in the state and nation.&nbsp; I also loved how great of a defender she is out of the middle back position.&nbsp; She has a natural touch on hard driven balls.&nbsp; She has committed to play volleyball at the University of Pittsburgh.&nbsp; She is currently one of the top attackers amongst seniors in kills as she has tallied 490 this season on a very impressive .340 hitting percentage.&nbsp; She is one major reason why her squad had an overall record of 30-10 and a conference record of 9-1.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate her on earning a nomination for our All-State Award.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='160301' first='Kaitlyn' last='Cabral']&nbsp;[2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: University Prep/Club: Synergy Force/Verbal: Uncommitted)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaitlyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our watch list.&nbsp; She stars on the outside for University Prep high school this year and plays club for Synergy Force.&nbsp; Currently she has the fifth most kills amongst all seniors in the entire state.&nbsp; Her tally sits at 519 kills on a jaw-dropping .418 hitting percentage.&nbsp; Her production has her varsity squad sitting at 39-3 overall on the season and also undefeated in conference play.&nbsp; She is no stranger to success as she led University Prep to their first ever state championship ship last season with her golden arm.&nbsp; When you watch her play the game, you see a true six-rotation player who excels in the back row.&nbsp; She has impeccable footwork while shuffling to the ball and always stays so balanced prior to contact.&nbsp; She will be someone who will have no problem making the rankings when the new update is released.&nbsp; Because of her offensive production on the court, we have nominated her for an All-State Award.&nbsp;
