The Sudden Impact 18 Tsunami is filled with 2023 college commits. Huard is one of them and is headed to the University of Washington next fall. The 5’9 Bellevue High School outside hitter is excellent defensively and an outstanding leader who plays with passion, SIVBC 18 finished 3rd at the Matt Hartner and will look to build on their success in Eugene. Look for setter Elena Kong and middle Yasmeen Muhammed to provide scoring and further leadership for the squad.

Huard has primarily been an attacker at Bellevue, her athletic profile and fundamentals project easily to the DS/L role at Washington. She is quick and strong off the floor and side to side. She can pass it on a dime in serve receive and has good height and reach for the libero spot. More than anything the senior has been a passionate leader for her team and school, and her teams win a bunch of games. It’s difficult to measure the value of a player who just wins!
