<p>A very talented and deep class saw some prospects make jumps up in the rankings thanks to an outstanding 2022 prep season.</p>

<p>Here's a look at a handful of players that made a climb up in our final rankings.</p>

<h2><strong>5. [player_tooltip player_id='66314' first='Kennedy' last='Louisell'], OH Forest Hills Northern/Legacy</strong></h2>

<p>Louisell cracked her way into the top 5 after being ranked 7<sup>th</sup> coming into the fall. The outside for the Huskies really shined during the prep season, helping get Northern to the D1 semifinals. She approached 600 kills on the season while having nearly 300 digs.</p>

<h2><strong>7. [player_tooltip player_id='66293' first='Kennedy' last='Arp'], MH South Christian/FaR Out</strong></h2>

<p>Arp made the jump into the top 10 after coming into the prep season ranked 12<sup>th</sup>. The 6'2” middle helped lead South Christian to the Division 2 semifinals. She had over 325 kills and 85 blocks on the year.</p>

<h2><strong>15. [player_tooltip player_id='66297' first='Kalliann' last='Cook'], L/DS Birch Run/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>

<p>Cook climbed up four spots from No. 19 to No. 15 this time around. The Birch run defender continues to be a consistent and reliable presence in the back row. She helped keep the Panthers as a Division 2 contender throughout the year.</p>

<h2><strong>19. [player_tooltip player_id='66299' first='Sarah' last='Dunn'], OH Forest Hills Central/FaR Out</strong></h2>

<p>Dunn jumped into the top 20 after entering the fall at No. 24. She had a monster year while leading the Rangers to being a top team in Division 1 for most of the season. Dunn tallied 618 kills, 454 digs and 49 aces in the 2022 prep season.</p>

<h2><strong>22. [player_tooltip player_id='66321' first='Aubreigh' last='Oswald'], MH Lowell/FaR Out</strong></h2>

<p>Oswald made a big jump from No. 30 up to No. 22. She missed her junior season due to a knee injury, but came back with a vengeance in 2022. She had 411 kills, 54 blocks and 45 aces for the Red Arrows this season while facing a lot of top competition throughout the year.</p>

<h2><strong>25. [player_tooltip player_id='108714' first='Taryn' last='Rice'], L/DS Northville/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>

<p>Rice made one of the biggest jumps, moving from No. 40 to No. 25 throughout the prep season. Rice was a defensive wizard for the D1 runner-up, Northville. Rice had 516 digs with 51 aces this year. She faced all of the big-name hitters in the state and never wavered.</p>

<h2><strong>27. [player_tooltip player_id='66333' first='Ella' last='Shields'], DS/OH Mercy/Legacy</strong></h2>

<p>Shields was a contributor in every area of the court for Mercy this year, allowing her to make a big leap from No. 43 to No. 27 in the latest rankings. Shields is a defensive star during club season, but she did it all for the Marlins. Shields had 289 kills, 265 digs and 64 aces this fall.</p>

<h2><strong>32. [player_tooltip player_id='140490' first='Kayla' last='Ozanich'], MH Okemos/FaR Out</strong></h2>

<p>Ozanich skyrocketed up the rankings, going from No. 82 to No. 32 in our latest rankings update. The 6'1” middle helped Okemos make a deep postseason run in Division 1. Ozanich was dominant for many stretches, tallying 429 kills while hitting .350. She was also a real threat from the service line with 83 aces.</p>

<h2><strong>38. [player_tooltip player_id='140494' first='Rachel' last='Zurek'], MH Lakeland/Legacy</strong></h2>

<p>Zurek was one of the top-performing middles in the state during the prep season while leading Lakeland to a league and district title. Zurek moved up from No. 49 to No. 38 in the latest rankings. She led the Eagles with 403 kills and 78 blocks while also hitting .338.</p>

<h2><strong>40. [player_tooltip player_id='66341' first='Hayley' last='Wegener'], S Coopersville/Inside Out</strong></h2>

<p>The lengthy setter for Coopersville moved up five spots from No. 45 to No. 40. Wegener ran a powerful Coopersville offense and kept the Broncos among the top contenders in Division 1 throughout the season.</p>

<h2><strong>45. [player_tooltip player_id='108719' first='Eve' last='Martin'], S/OH Lakeland/Legacy</strong></h2>

<p>Martin is a dynamic player that was vital to Lakeland's success in 2022. She cracked into the top 50, moving from No. 51 to No. 45 in our latest update. Martin put up 357 kills, 550 assists, 331 digs and 102 aces for the Eagles this year. There weren't many more collectively productive this fall than her.</p>

<h2><strong>47. [player_tooltip player_id='152524' first='Molly' last='Banta'], OH Marian/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>

<p>Marian needed some new hitters to emerge in 2022 and Banta filled the role. That helped her jump up from No. 64 to No. 47 in the rankings. Banta had 332 kills, 339 digs and 42 aces while helping the Mustangs win a third consecutive D1 championship.</p>

<h2><strong>63. [player_tooltip player_id='140487' first='Emma' last='Larkins'], MH Clarkston/Michigan Elite</strong></h2>

<p>Larkins moved from No. 87 up to No. 63 in our rankings update. The Clarkston senior dealt with an injury early on in the high school season, but her return late in the year allowed the Wolves to take a big step forward as a team. During the postseason, Larkins hit over. 500 in three of five matchups.</p>
