Volleyball Club out of the Appleton area. She has been on the
FC Elite
18 Elite team since she was a freshman where her team’s have earned an open bid each year. At the next level she will most likely be a libero, but with her talent and dynamic skill set she could contribute in plenty of ways for a top 15 program.

Peyton is a player who arguably has one of the best volleyball IQs in the state. She can play nearly any position, though her serve receive and defense truly set her apart. The amount of space that Peyton can cover in the back row is immense, and she makes it look easy. Peyton is also a high-flying pin with the ability to place the ball, with power, just about anywhere she wants it. She is an athlete who is just getting started and who will be fun to watch explode onto the college scene.

Payton Carlson is no stranger to the Wisconsin high school volleyball scene. She has been a standout at Waupaca since the time she stepped on the court. She has accumulated over 1500 kills in her career and is on track to break 1,000 digs as well. Her skill set is unique where she is a high level outside hitter and can play the libero position. Her freshman and sophomore year she was a libero primarily for FC Elite 18 Elite and this past club season was a six rotation outside. She will take her talent to the next level in Omaha, Nebraska where she will join the Creighton Bluejays, a perennial top 25 program.

Peyton is the #1 ranked athlete in the class. The amount of court she takes up alone is enough to make her dangerous to any team she goes up against. Even against the toughest teams, Peyton can serve receive half the court consistently. She has an incredibly high volleyball IQ and is smart, precise, and powerful on offense. She is also ranked in the top 100 nationally and will be headed to Creighton for college. Peyton can play on the pin or at the libero position.

She is committed to Creighton, which is regularly ranked in the Top 25 in the country. No matter where she is on the court, Peyton makes an impact and is a leader in her play. She is the kind of athlete who never backs down from a challenge.

Since Carlson has entered high school, she has been playing at the 18s level with FC Elite 18 Elite who has traditionally qualified for USAV 18 Open. Carlson was the MVP of the 16 National Division at USAV as an 8th grader for FC Elite 16 Navy. During the high school season, Carlson is a top kill leader in all of Wisconsin as an outside hitter. When it comes to club, she is trending as a high level libero prospect. She will have plenty of options at the next level where she can be used as a libero or an attacking DS. She is a really lethal outside hitter as well.

Peyton is the top-ranked athlete in her class, and she is absolutely dominating the high school season. She already has over 200 kills and is a defensive leader on her team as well. Peyton is an athlete who is explosive yet consistent and rarely makes errors. She plays high-level serve receive and defense and is incredibly efficient on offense and from the service line.

Carlson is not a new name for us but it has been a while since I’ve gotten to see her swing. She was crushing the ball around the block and managed to make it look easy peasy. Carlson is a solid defender and has impeccable ball control from anywhere on the court. Her pass to attack transition is seamless as she explodes into her approach to take a big swing.
