The thing you like about Lopez is she is consistent. After having a great high school season she didn’t take anything off the gas and brought her A game to the expo. She was among one of the top outsides in the gym. The area of growth we noticed immediately is the added shots in her toolkit. Her ability to score in almost any section of the court is an added benefit to her game after earning all-state honors in Kansas class 4A.
Highlights
Tingey is a player capable of doing many things and she registered as a defender and possibly due to her size. However, she showed she can handle her own on the pin throughout the day continuing the success she had on the high school season. The girl has some good bounce in her legs and can get off the floor! She was also very solid in serve receive in competition skill play.
Liming had a breakout season this fall for Park Hill South and that play carried over into the expo where she shined as a left pin. She is another athletic pin who displayed great jumping ability. Her ability to get up over the block was seen over the course of the day. She will continue to improve defensively and passing, which will allow her stock to rise even more heading into the club season.
We loved Barnes high reach and touch point with her attacks. This allows her power to be on full display making it difficult for defenders to get her balls up. She does a great job of getting off the net to get in position for an attack. As a blocker, she pressed well with strong hands to get touches and blocks. She is a player who benefited and saw their stock rise in my eyes on the day.
