We might as well cover them all.   So, we're hopping around the age ladder to credit a few more athletes who have mastered the art of bettering the ball. It's a Heart of America staple.    It's all coming together for this senior setter. Dean, who is committed to play D1 ball at North Carolina A&T, has brought her best during her swan song season with Bishop Miege. She has dished out a career-best 10.7 assists per set while helping the Stags make remarkable improvements in this year's win column. A 22-7 mark has Bishop Miege squarely in the Class 4A race, and Dean's pin-to-pin distribution will help that cause. If there's any Kansas class that has exhibited the most growth at the setter spot this year, it might be the 2028s. Baumler leads off our junior spotlight after tallying nearly ten assists per set in her third campaign with Maranatha Christian. Her underclassman years were primarily spent on the pin, where Baumler delivered some valuable scoring production on the right antenna. Now, she's piloting the offense around the dial to help the Eagles post a 25-8 record heading into mid-October.     We could fixate on Carlson's precise setting, which has allowed Nemaha Central to put up some impressive numbers in the efficiency column. However, her highlight film reveals a fearless setter who isn't afraid to challenge blockers at the net. Carlson has a knack for winning jousts and has a tricky finesse shot to the Zone 4 area. She's deceptive as she is accurate, meaning Nemaha Central has a clear building block from the 2028 class.     Reiff has been a familiar name on the Kansas stat leaderboard. She took the reins of Hesston High's offense as a freshman and has elevated her production ever since. That leads us to Year 3, where Reiff is putting up nearly ten helpers per set en route to Hesston's remarkable 30-3 run. Aside from her all-around work as a signal-caller, Reiff wields a lethal setover dump that establishes her as an attacking threat from the back row. That's a lot for defenses to process whenever Reiff is running the show.     Putting a single positional designation on Hartman can be challenging. She has excelled in various roles throughout her prep career, but her second-contact excellence is likely her biggest strength. Hartman is averaging nearly nine assists per set for a second-straight season, helping Conway Springs climb the 2A order with a 24-9 record. Hartman hustles to get her feet to the ball on any pass, but her tireless effort is only part of the story. She also spends some time blocking in the middle in her frontcourt rotations, further complicating opposing scouting reports. That's just a small glimpse of Hartman's vast versatility.     Yes, we have room for more 2029s. Even after so many sophomore-focused features throughout the fall season, new names like Larkin keep popping up on the Kansas leaderboards. Like many of the distributors featured here, Larkin has the potential to influence matches as a setter and a frontcourt terminator. She showcased some of that range with Shockwave 151 this spring, and Bishop Carroll is getting a steady underclassman to build around. Larkin has been an effective leader while dishing out of the back row and has made the most of her attacking reps along the net.     Sure, freshmen have the element of surprise by default. We're learning so much about Kansas' exceptional Class of 2030, even after we just launched our first watch list. Burritt was featured prominently in that release, and we just got an in-person look at her setting skills at last weekend's SkyHawk Invite in Omaha. This is a proficient setter out of the back row who also has the physical traits needed to play around the dial. Keep this narrative in mind as Burritt represents [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last='']'s top 15s group next spring. But first, there's unfinished business in the Class 6A gauntlet.
