Club Team Preview: SVA 16 National

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In just their second season as part of the Puget Sound Region, Seattle Volleyball Academy has assembled an excellent team at the 16's age level. Bolstered by a strong contingent from Kennedy Catholic, the team should be versatile and athletic. Although they won't have a huge frontline strictly by height, the team overall jumps well and is extremely athletic and quick. She faced great competition all season long and grew into her role as a six-rotation player. That is a difficult task coming in as a ninth grader, Terry handled the pressure well. Athletic and tough, McCaw is an excellent basketball player for the Lancers, she has posted big rebounding numbers this season. She garnered first-team all-conference honors and helped the team reach the state tournament for the first time since 2016. The skilled left-hander has a knack for finding open spots on the court. She gives SVA another excellent passer and serving weapon to utilize, and has a great demeanor on the court. She plays strong at the net, challenging hard on overpasses and jousts, and putting up a great wall on the block. She is increasing her offensive toolbox, running the 3 and the back-1, and getting herself away from the opposing middles. Athletic and strong, she has a quick arm on offense and a solid platform while passing. Quitquit has the combination of soft hands, good foot speed, and volleyball smarts you want in the setter running the show. Her vertical and attacking ability just add something extra to her overall game. The team already finished strong in their first tournament, with a second-place run at the Puyallup Juniors Winter Classic.
