Club Team Spotlight: Webfoot 16-1 Elite

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Since 1999, Webfoot Jrs. has continuously produced highly competitive club teams out of Eugene, Oregon. This year's 16-1 Elite team has had quite a strong season, with a current 10-4 regional record. In the CEVA Open division, the team is currently ranked 19th out of 28 teams, coming up behind only 5 other 16s teams and competing successfully against 17s and 18s teams. It will be exciting to see how this team finishes the season out at Regionals. The Webfoot 16-1 Elite team is coached by Samantha Rouleau, a former Linn-Benton CC, OSU, and Corban University setter. On serve receive, Bones is steady and disciplined, making perfect passes off of nearly every serve that comes her way. Bones is also a weapon from the service line, where her jump float serve proves deadly for opponents. At 5'9”, Crawford is on the taller side as a setter, allowing her to run an effective 5-1 and act as a blocking and offensive weapon in the front row. Crawford combines quick feet and strong hands to put up beautiful sets consistently. She is disciplined on defense, whether she's in the back row and diving to pick up a ball, or in the front row and putting up a solid block. Lane is fast and powerful, combining a quick and strong arm swing with an explosive approach to put the ball away with nearly every set that she gets. Lane and Crawford's connection is so strong that blockers on the other side of the net have a hard time reading which play the two are running, often leaving open net for Lane to swing hard and hammer at the ball. She moves around the court so seamlessly to cover her hitters, track and pick up tricky shots and hits, and put up sets to the pins when Crawford plays the first ball. Krauss is steady and consistent on serve receive, too, getting her feet to each ball quickly. And, from the service line, Krauss's serve is tough and tricky for opponents to pass. She uses her heavy arm and powerful approach to bury the ball from anywhere on the court, including from the back row, scoring consistently for her team. And, on serve receive and defense, Scholl is a strong and steady passer.
