<p>Here is a report on five of the top liberos and defensive specialists who led the 2022 high school season in total digs. It is their skills that start and stop rallies by getting too tough hits and then making solid first passes.</p>

<p>Foster finished with 466 digs for the Derby Panthers. She has quick feet and makes a solid first pass. Foster plays club ball with [program_tooltip program_id='432164' first='Fight' last='Club'] and is ranked No. 108 among her Class of 2024 peers.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='150068' first='Ryan' last='McAleer']</strong>, 5”6”, L, Blue Valley</p>

<p>McAleer is arguably the most talented libero in Kansas. She finished with 410 digs during her junior season. She is the No. 3 ranked player in Kansas in her class and has committed to play college volleyball for Purdue University. She plays club ball with adidas [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']' last=''] and easily gets overlooked on a team absolutely stacked with college talent.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='261111' first='Kate' last='Reese']</strong>, 5'6”, DS, Shawnee Mission Northwest</p>

<p>Reese is willing to sacrifice her body to hit the floor to get to hard-hit balls. She finished with 346 digs for Shawnee Mission Northwest in 2022. Reese is ranked No. 124 in the Class of 2024 and plays club ball with adidas [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']' last='']. She is currently uncommitted.</p>

<p>Sher finished with 306 digs during her junior season. She plays club ball for Mavs KC and is ranked No. 54 in the Kansas class of 2024. She is a tough-nosed player and an awesome teammate. She is currently uncommitted.</p>

<p>Ourth led Olathe West in digs with 236 during the 2022 campaign. She is ranked No. 48 in the Prep Dig rankings and has committed to play college volleyball at Missouri State. Ourth plays club ball with Pohaku. Her solid defense and passing skills set up Pohaku and Olathe West's offensive sets.</p>
