About Jayni

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

On the court, I’m all in—competitive, aggressive, and completely locked in. I chase every ball, hit the ground if I have to, and do whatever it takes to make the perfect pass to my setter so we can score. Off the court, I’m just as loud, hyping up my teammates, cheering for every good play, and keeping the energy high. I love the game, I love the grind, and most of all, I love having fun!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a 17-year-old girl with a big personality—I love meeting new people, making connections, and having fun with everyone I cross paths with. Volleyball isn’t just a sport to me; it’s my passion, my drive, my thing. The challenges push me, shape me, and make me even stronger. No matter what, I keep going, because I know every obstacle is just another step toward greatness.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Resilience, Self-awareness, humility, perseverance, adaptability

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Volleyball has always been a huge part of my life. For 7 years, I played club and was always a part of my school’s team. It was my plan—my path. But when I tried out for my junior year, everything changed. There was a new head coach, and with all the changes, I didn’t make the team. That failure hit hard. It messed with my confidence in ways I wasn’t prepared for but I became the team manager.

What type of college are you looking for?

All NCAA divisions.
