About Nariah
Expert Analysis
Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Nariah Miller brought a physical edge to the right side that translated immediately. She generated heavy arm speed and attacked with range, able to hit sharp cross or push high seam depending on the block. In transition, she was quick to reset and stayed engaged, giving her setter a consistent option in second-phase offense. Her blocking presence popped—she pressed over the tape and showed discipline sealing the line, forcing hitters into tougher shots. There’s power in her game, but also control in how she uses it. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
Why she was a standout: her combination of power and disciplined blocking created problems on both sides of the ball.

emerged as one of the most difficult matchup problems at the 210 Countdown City Classic, earning Top Performer honors through her unique offensive presence at the net. A left-handed attacker lining up in the middle front, Miller consistently forced opposing middle blockers into uncomfortable reads and footwork patterns, creating scoring opportunities that are rarely seen at the 16s level. From a technical perspective, her exceptionally high vertical and ability to contact the ball at true high reach made timing her attack a constant challenge for opposing blocks. She repeatedly punished late or misaligned blockers, terminating points with authority and confidence. Beyond the physical tools, Miller showed an advanced understanding of spacing and angles, using her lefty swing to attack seams and exploit defensive gaps. Her high motor was evident on every rally, as she transitioned quickly and stayed engaged even when plays extended. With her combination of athleticism, competitive edge, and natural mismatch potential, Miller looks poised for a breakout year and firmly placed herself on the radar with her performance in San Antonio.

Miller plays high school volleyball for Samuel Clemens and is a member of Tri-County Volleyball Association’s club volleyball program. She was a stud at net in the showcase, playing multiple positions and doing great things on both sides of the ball. A very athletic player, Miller makes the most of her physical tools, jumping very well and unleashing it every time she went up to swing. She spent part of the event in the middle and used the fact that she’s an unorthodox left-handled middle to beat opposing blockers. Miller also stood out with her blocking, playing aggressively at the net and coming out on top in most jousts she got to get involved.

Miss Miller is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Samuel Clemens High School and also plays for the TCVA volleyball club. The month of November has been extremely good for Nariah as she not only competed in two of our showcases, but has now earned a Top Performer award in both of them. That proves that her production is no fluke and she should be taken very seriously as a potential college recruit. Every single time I went by her court during the scrimmage portion, I witnessed some huge swings that sounded like bombs being dropped. What makes Nariah stand out as a recruit is the fact that she is able to play both middle and right side with a super high motor and tons of power. When you have a strong blocker and attacker like this that can be used in different lineups, it gives a coach so many options and that alone should help her make a name for herself moving forward. Although she may be slightly undersized at the net compared to six-footers, you cannot deny the heart that this youngster plays the game with. We will be watching her closely moving forward and are so happy to have seen her in person at our showcases. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at both of the showcases that she attended.
