We are continuing to look at the AES rankings to date to identify the top teams in our coverage area. The AES rankings aren't the end-all-be-all. They primarily include results from tournaments where the AES system is utilized. There are other instances where teams input their results. Other tournaments use systems like Sportswrench and TM2, so there is no one place to capture records, but we can get a lot from AES. The teams with the highest rankings in AES we have listed below as the top 5.

[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 16 Black

[program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] and Mavs are running neck to neck in this one but it's [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 16 Black that sits highest at 24th. They have a compiled record of 47-16 in AES-included results. They've played in four qualifiers on AES with two 9th-place finishes. They earned the regional bid in the National division, where they will compete next month. [player_tooltip player_id='173381' first='Hadley' last='Porter'] is one of the top defenders in the city and is joined by [player_tooltip player_id='220285' first='Malori' last='Purmort'] in the back row.

Mavs KC 16-1

The Open Division at Nationals will feature Mavs KC 16-1, who earned their bid at Show ME in Kansas City with a third-place finish. They sit 27th in the national rankings with a 38-12 record. They will get the return of [player_tooltip player_id='154041' first='Logan' last='Parks'], who just played a pivotal role with Team USA in the Pan Am Cup. I'm giving defenders most of the love this week and [player_tooltip player_id='173395' first='Brookelyn' last='Hatton'] is the name to know in the back row on this squad.

[program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 16 Elite

[program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] has been a fun team to watch this year as they check in at 72nd with their 46-20 record. They have two top-ten finishes in qualifiers, one in USA and one in Open. They will play in USA at nationals after having earned a bid. [player_tooltip player_id='219709' first='Summer' last='Anderson'] is our defensive player to highlight after a consistent season of defense and passing.

[program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='[program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last='']'] 16 Black

35-23 and squeaking into the top 100 at 98th is [program_tooltip program_id='428794' first='Power' last=''] 16 Black. They will play in the National Division after grabbing a region bid after a competitive regular season. They played their qualifier season in Open. [player_tooltip player_id='185632' first='Alex' last='Klukvin'] we highlighted earlier this season with her strong defensive play.

Mavs 816 16-1

Just outside the top 100 at 112th is Mavs 816 16-1 and their 35-17 record. They had three top-ten finishes in the USA Division, with 3rd being the highest at Show Me in AES. They will play in the USA Division at nationals. Addison Gardner and [player_tooltip player_id='173389' first='Avery' last='Baker'] are two defensive standouts on the roster.
