It doesn't matter what level you play at when you think about the fact that NCAA research shows that only four percent of high school volleyball players play in college. Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.

[player_tooltip player_id='142205' first='Cate' last='Hatfield'] [2024] 5-7 Setter (HS: Bishop Lynch/Club: [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']' last='']/Verbal: College of William and Mary)

Cate is currently ranked as the 109th best overall prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Bishop Lynch High School and also plays club for [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']' last='']. Miss Hatfield has been a staple at setter in the north Texas volleyball scene and dishes the rock with the best of them. A pinpoint accurate sniper with the ball, this young lady can definitely thread the needle with the set. She truly understands how to evenly distribute the ball and that is why her team's offense is always super aggressive as they put pressure on the defense with them not knowing where the ball will come from. Her defense out of the right back zone is stellar and she always comes in super clutch at the right moment for her squad. We have seen her over the years save numerous rallies by what she does on the defensive end. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at the College of William and Mary. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='198344' first='Taylor' last='Larkin'] [2024] 6-0 Middle (HS: Summer Creek/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Harvard University)

Taylor is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official watch list. She plays volleyball at Summer Creek High School and club for Houston Stellar. Miss Larkin has been explosive out of the middle for the past couple of years as she brings the thunder with each attack. If the block is not set up on her correctly, she will make them pay with a vicious attack that can land in front of the attack line. Her game is very advanced as she is able to run every route in the middle route tree with ease and speed. As a blocker, she possesses awesomely fast closing footwork to both pins and is dominant at the net. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Harvard University. The famed Ivy league school is getting a game changer for their program. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.

[player_tooltip player_id='201034' first='Reese' last='Animashaun'] [2024] 5-10 Outside/Right Side/Setter (HS: St. Johns/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Vanderbilt University)

Reese is currently ranked as the 50th best overall prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for St. John's High School and plays club for the nationally recognized Houston Skyline program. This young lady is shooting up our rankings list in a hurry and has the potential to be very high once I update them in a few weeks. She is one of the best leapers in the state and she showcases that athleticism every single time she suits up. Every spectator in the crowd is astonished at her ability to get off of the ground so fast and so effortlessly. She was blessed with amazing talent and we are very lucky to have her in the state. The best aspect about her play is that she is so versatile. She can play as a pin on both sides of the court and can also set so well. Her blocking and digging are at an elite level to say the least. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Vanderbilt University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.

We are just now getting caught up with all of the commitments that have happened this past year. There are many more amazing players that are getting offers. Stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes to see where they end up. If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at Michael@prepdig.com. Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends. Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook. Thanks for following Texas Family!
