Kyp Harasymowycz | Prep Dig Scout
In short, Division II University of Indianapolis absolutely STOLE a Division I level player from the recruiting world. McKenna is a beast of a player, nearly perfect in all aspects of the game we all love. In serve receive, she’s got hyperactive feet coupled with a calm platform. On offense, Miss Yadon can put balls away in any speed of offense to any angle at any time in any match situation. The definition of workhorse, McKenna is a huge addition to the Greyhounds for the fall of ‘27, and she still has a full years’ worth of development to go.

Smart and crafty, McKenna is more than capable of playing at the next level, but for different reasons that you think. Watching her play, it seems that she can “see” the play develop in front of her, and regularly finds the best shot available for (1) the set she received, and (2) what the defense gives her. There are hammers and there are shot-makers, but what happens when you get both in the same player? Miss Yadon is that girl, and her performance while Benton Central cruised to the 2A final this past fall proves it.

More of a compact outside than the others on this list, McKenna is easily the best true passer listed here. Yes, she might be relegated to the DS/Libero world soon, but for now let’s enjoy her ability to do everything a six-rotation outside can do. Her approach is a clinic in maximizing her attack touch, and her compact swing plane is strong and aggressive. She should be one of the most important players the Bison throw out onto the court this fall to compete for a state title.
