We were super excited to run our first session of the USA GJNC Pre Tourney Showcase in conjunction with the USA Junior Nationals Tournament on Tuesday June 27th. We had some of the best players from all over the country attend from the 13’s through 15’s age groups. Many players stood out to our court coaches and scouts throughout the entire showcase for a variety of reasons. Some players stood out for their dynamic physical skills and some stood out for intangibles like leadership, effort and attitude. Let’s meet a few of the players who earned the honor of Top Performer at the showcase.
Piper Batie [2026] 6-0 Outside (HS: Gravette/Club: Ozark Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Piper is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Gravette High School and also plays club for the Ozark Juniors program. Miss Batie is a power attacker from the Arkansas area who brings the hammer down on anyone who steps in her way. She can throttle the ball with the best of them on both pins and plays the game with a fierce demeanor. Many of our scouts were thoroughly impressed with a lot of what Piper brought to the showcase on Tuesday. Her stock is on the rise for sure as she is one of the few players who can easily tough ten feet in the air in her age group. During our position drills, I had a few of the coaches come up to me and nominate her for the Top Performer award. After watching her myself, it was a no-brainer that she had earned it with her skills. She is currently leading her team to some stellar victories at nationals and she deserves a few looks from college coaches.
Alayna Perales [2026] 5-10 Outside (HS: Lewis Palmer/Club: Colorado Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Alayna is an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Lewis Palmer High School and also for the nationally recognized Colorado Juniors club program. Miss Perales is a solid pin who can hit on either side of the court and is a true six-rotation player. Her back row skills were on full display during the scrimmage portion of the showcase. What I love about her play is how balanced she is with her footwork during each aspect of the game. This is going to allow her to play at a very high level for many years to come. The length in her arms allows her to be a formidable blocker at the net against any attacker. She has a very soft touch on the ball in the back row and that will keep her team in any rally when she is digging for them. As an attacker, she moves the ball around well around the block as she can score line with power and sharp cross-court also. It is remarkable to see how much she has grown over the last few years in the sport of volleyball and you can tell that she is just scratching the surface of what she can become with further training. She is someone that all schools will want to keep an eye on for sure.
Jaylyn Tuiasosopo Jaylyn Tuiasosopo 5'10" | OH O'Connor | 2026 State TX [2026] 5-10 Outside/Right Side (HS: O’Connor/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jaylyn is currently ranked as the 35th best overall prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at O’Connor High School and also for the Alamo club program. Miss Tuiasosopo can flat out fly on the pins. She plays the game fast and furious and I love it! A few of our scouts got my attention after they saw her sky above the net and unleash fury from her right arm. They said what I already knew since she is from my state and I had seen her all year long. Jaylyn is a stud and that is all to it. This is why she is ranked so high in her grad class. Her overall level of play cannot go unnoticed by anyone who is near her court. She plays the game the way it was meant to be played…with tons of heart. Give her a look and you will not be disappointed. She will no doubt make someone’s college roster in few years. In the meantime, I will enjoy watching her grow in the game we all love. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award from our showcase.
