Another standout performer for one of southern Indiana’s most consistent programs, Avery has excelled for North Posey throughout her high school career. Despite standing at 5’9″, Little has accumulated 435 kills and 89 blocks over the last two seasons as a middle blocker. What Little lacks in stature, she makes up for in strength and power. An explosive player, Little plays with a present confidence about her that helps her punch above her weight. Little will look to lead the Vikings to another successful season in 2026.

In the Evansville area, size isn’t all that common among women’s volleyball players. One thing that the ladies DO have in droves is the ability to outwork and outmuscle bigger and stronger players from any position and at any time. Insert Miss Little, who plays her middle position with a confidence and strength not normally seen in her size, yet looks second-nature to her when she’s within the 900 square feet. High and hard, with strong legs to defend from pin to pin, Avery’s ability to play middle at this size is impressive. I project her to be more of a pin attacker at the next level because of that size, but why take away what makes her so good?

It’s hard to look at Avery and immediately think “middle blocker”, yet here we are. With a strong upper body, fast feet in transition and a high snap point, Miss Little doesn’t seem so little when playing some of the best club middles around the Midwest. Yes, she might be relegated to the right side at the next level, but for now she’s more than holding her own with the big girls, and attacks with a fervor that just isn’t seen—-an almost fearless attitude when she steps within her side’s 900 square feet.
