It can be tough for incoming freshmen to jump into a college showcase like they did, but these athletes never missed a beat. They threw themselves into drills and gave full effort for the entire event. Here are some of the 2027s that caught my eye at the Stock Up Showcase.
Madeline is an athlete to have on your radar. She is 5’11” and has soft hands and consistent placement. She will be dangerous as she continues elevating her game and gaining experience. Madeline was pushing herself throughout the showcase, mixing up her sets and working to make connections with her hitters.
Aubrey is a really talented passer. Where she excelled was on serve receive. She impressed me with her clean form and simple angles. She reacted quickly as the ball came over the net and rarely got aced. Aubrey also added a lot of value on defense.
Charlie is the type of athlete you would never know was one of the youngest at the showcase. She was constantly talking and giving everyone high fives. Charlie was an energizer even in challenging drills and was always looking for a way to help her teammates. As a defender, she is scrappy and gets a touch on everything that comes over the net. She is excellent in coverage and keeps some very tough balls alive.
Highlights
Tiernan has excellent fundamentals. She has impeccable footwork, which I think is one of the best compliments a setter can receive. Her fundamentals helped her be consistent with the placement and tempo of her sets. She showed how talented she is in 6v6 and transition drills. Tiernan stepped up every time she was on the court.
Joelle is a physical pin hitter. She utilizes shots well and is aggressive with her swings. Her vertical is high, and she takes an explosive approach. When she is in the front row, she can manufacture points. She impressed me throughout the showcase and is an athlete to watch in this class.
Delilah was an absolute beast in the middle. She is crazy athletic and uses every set she gets to earn points. When Delilah blocks she moves across the court quickly and efficiently. She is powerful, well-rounded, and has great endurance.

Emma is very well-rounded as an athlete. Her pass is clean, and her form is simple. The same goes for her sets. She has a clean touch on the ball, runs down balls quickly, and puts up consistent sets for her hitters. She is an athlete with huge potential and exploded onto my radar at the Stock Up Showcase.
Highlights
Tegan first caught my eye when she was serving ace after ace after ace. Even athletes 2 or 3 grades above her struggled to make playable passes off her serve. She was also very competitive on defense. She got touches on really tough balls and was disciplined in her movement and coverage.
Highlights
Claire is quick and scrappy on the court. She got impressive touches on defense and could make even the toughest sets work. Claire found great shots on offense and was impressive in transition and out-of-system balls. She was versatile and could play on either pin and across the back row.
