Vrbancic was putting on a lesson in knee drives, and I was loving it. She does a great job reading the serve as well as the opposing attack. Vrbancic also brings a wicked float serve to the endline that just dances till it drops.

Tegan is an absolute stud in the back row. She was one of the top liberos at the Stock Up Showcase. She balances confidence and having fun on the court; her passion for the sport is apparent in every play. From her serve receive to her out-of-system sets, Tegan is well-rounded and dominant in the libero position.

What set Tegan apart were her intangibles. She took every free ball that came over the net and anticipated the ball extremely well. When she was on the court you could tell she was in charge of the back row, and she did a great job at it. She was solid in defense and serve receive and also did all of the little things right like picking up balls in coverage and being a great out-of-system setter.

Tegan first caught my eye when she was serving ace after ace after ace. Even athletes 2 or 3 grades above her struggled to make playable passes off her serve. She was also very competitive on defense. She got touches on really tough balls and was disciplined in her movement and coverage.
