Early Results: Top Five Attackers In 2A

<p>Entering what is technically the second week of the season here in Indiana, we don't have enough information to rank programs, in any class. That being said, there's still a ton of athletes putting in the work in August, positioning themselves to be seen sooner rather than later by colleges throughout the midwest. Here are five athletes crushing it in the early part of the volleyball season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">'24, [player_tooltip player_id='171373' first='Parker' last='Mischler'], 5-8 OH, Sullivan</h2>   <p>From western Indiana, Parker is a spitfire of an outside for the Golden Arrows. Their 6-0 start is punctuated by Parker's stats: 4k/4d/.5a/.300 per set is her stat line, plus she's a primary passer. Not too many other kids in <em>any</em> class are producing those numbers in all four of those categories, and Sullivan will see a ton of success if this keeps up.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">'26, [player_tooltip player_id='226810' first='Ella' last='Warrick'], 5-9 OH, Linton-Stockton</h2>   <p>Speaking of spitfires, Ella is another primary passing outside that is a gym rat, through and through. She pores over video to improve her game, is a physical and emotional leader for the Miners, and already own wins over 4A programs Bloomington South and Greenwood. A match at Barr-Reeve tomorrow night should put Ella to the test; her 5+ kills per set while hitting over .300 on the season will be much needed.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">'24, [player_tooltip player_id='187208' first='Ashleigh' last='Riley'], 5-8 OH, North Putnam</h2>   <p>Although more defensive-minded, Miss Riley's early season stats are clear; 4k/2.5d while hitting north of .200 is where you should expect a primary passing outside at the O2 position, and Ashleigh is definitely doing her part. The Cougars host Covington next Tuesday in what should be a tough test for Ashleigh. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">'25, Molly Welborn, 5-7 OH, Scecina</h2>   <p>A strong and physical two-sport athletic stud is what you get from Molly. She's carrying the Crusaders on her back in the early going, averaging four kills and three digs per set. With all Scecina lost due to graduation from last season, this young squad will be looking to Molly early and often for physical and emotional leadership this season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">'24, Tatum Wade, 5-10 OH, South Central</h2>   <p>From northwestern Indiana, the Satellites have busted out of the gates in the early part of their schedule. At 9-0, they haven't dropped a set yet, and don't look to do so for some time. Tatum is a big and physical terminator from the left pin, whose 5k/3d/.7a/.300+ stat line is even more impressive than Parker's listed above. </p>
