Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Roger is exactly the kind of athlete we love to see at Prep Dig Showcase events. When we watched her at one of our showcases, she was known as a dynamic middle blocker who could generate a serious spark in the front row. Fast forward to this year, when Roger morphed into an all-around outside hitter with VCNebraska 16 Black. Roger’s range and do-everything mentality have made her one of our favorite 2027s to cover, and she’s sure to make a splash with Crete to close out 2025.

Roger has changed clubs and positions since we first covered her prep journey, and she’s playing her best volleyball this spring. She has emerged as a game-changing left-side hitter for VCNebraska 16 Black, helping the team clinch a GJNC bid through the Great Plains Region. Roger was a force as a middle blocker but has flourished as a pin hitter who can remain aggressive in out-of-system situations.

We couldn’t get enough of the VCNebraska 16 Black resurgence. Roger has been another extraordinary addition to the lineup, adding to the wealth of firepower in the front row. She has experience as a middle blocker but has thrived on the left side for 16 Black. Roger has a knack for finding open areas of the court and will use any shot to exploit those gaps. Of course, this Wilber-Clatonia prep star can also use her quick arm to score by brute force alone. We’re thrilled to see what 16 Black’s collection of stock risers can accomplish in the postseason.

Roger continues to rewrite her scouting report. Past seasons showed us how this Wilber-Clatonia athlete can take over matches as a middle blocker. However, Roger has embraced a different role as a new member of the VCN 16 Black lineup. She has churned out extraordinary reps as a left-side hitter and had several high-volume scoring affairs at NLQ. Expect more of the same for the next few weeks.

This was not Roger’s first appearance on the Prep Dig Circuit, and she picked up right where she left off from prior showcases. The Wilber-Clatnoia sophomore was an attacking asset in front of the setter during team drills and positional work. Roger is building off a prep campaign in which she compiled triple-digit kills and represented a Wolverine squad full of underclassmen. This middle blocker will inevitably trend upward as she pivots toward the upcoming season with Nebraska ONE .

Roger fits the mold of so many other successful Nebraska ONE middle blockers. She hails from Wilber-Clatonia High School, which has produced Nebraska ONE stars of the past and present. This year’s Nebraska ONE 15 Lime squad is already leaning on Roger’s attacking prowess in front of the setter, and that ought to continue for a while.
