Nebraska Prep Dig Showcase Alums Shine at USAV Nationals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's a timely prelude to this month's showcases.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are only two weeks away from our annual summer showcase doubleheader in La Vista. This Saturday outing will feature a Stock Up Showcase for the Classes of 2026-2028, and a Freshman Showcase to introduce us to the next stars from the Class of 2029. Links and information will be included below, and there's still plenty of time to sign up. We're hoping to make this our biggest Nebraska showcase stop yet.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As we sit in the gap between Nationals and our summer showcases, we might as well blend these two events. USAV Nationals featured plenty of big-time showcase alums, many of whom we've already covered in other post-Nationals features. This physical middle blocker has committed to Midland University while also climbing to Premier Nebraska's top 17s squad. Erwin played an influential role in Premier Nebraska 17 Gold's bid-clinching triumph at the Northern Lights Qualifier and brought the same intensity to Dallas. We've been taken aback by Erwin's development as a shutdown blocker and a terminal attacker on either side of the setter. She got championship experience with Lincoln Lutheran last fall and helped [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 17 Black earn a GJNC bid through the Great Plains Region. Kuhlmann has been an exceptional addition to the 17 Black lineup with her quickness off the floor and ability to close blocks from pin to pin. She exploded onto the club scene with last year's Premier Nebraska 15 Black squad, leading the team to an early GJNC bid. After making a stop on the showcase trail, Janssen then had an impactful freshman debut with Gretna High School. This athletic opposite landed on Premier Nebraska's top 16s squad this season, giving us a glimpse at Janssen's incredible skills at the Open level. When we watched her at one of our showcases, she was known as a dynamic middle blocker who could generate a serious spark in the front row. Fast forward to this year, when Roger morphed into an all-around outside hitter with [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 16 Black. Morgan exhibited her readiness for this exceptional accomplishment by tearing up the frontcourt at last summer's freshman showcase. This Elkhorn North athlete combines her terminal ability with a willingness to contribute in the serve-receive pattern. She had a strong debut season with Perkins County High School and has soared to new heights with South Central NE 15 Black. Her team reached the Show Me Qualifier championship match, leading to another podium appearance at USAV Nationals. Klockman wielded her long frame and powerful arm on our showcase stage, and those strengths have prevailed at club venues. Barber joined us to display her quick arm at the middle blocker spot--a common trend at Adams Central High School. The 2025 club season has given us exponentially more highlight moments as Barber and South Central NE 15 Black marched to the Dallas podium.
