Reese Messer – 5’11” – St. James Academy
Reese is a phenomenal setter and makes it look so easy. I’ve read and heard all about her and the hype is real. Makes bad passes look great, and they rarely have bad passes. Her distribution is varied to all her attackers and is silky smooth. Her hands are top notch and she is extremely aggressive offensively.
Brytn Lyon Brytn Lyon 6'1" | S St. Dominic | 2025 State MO – 6’1” – St. Dominic
Brytn is one of the tallest on her team and puts up a big block, but her setting is another thing of beauty. I watched her set the outside from off the court perfectly. Jump setter with almost every ball and keeps the defense honest because she can throw it down if you are sleeping.
Jacy Bray – 5’8” – Nixa
Tenacious is a great word to describe Jacy. That’s how she plays the game. Whether it’s on defense or running the offense she is on full motor, and I loved watching her play. My perspective Nixa wouldn’t be the team they are without Jacy. Quick setter who runs a quick offense and gets all involved.
Izzi Sohl – 5’8” – Rock Bridge
Izzi had monster shoes to fill after the graduation of the best volleyball player to come through the Bruin program. I think she did a great job in the tournament. She is a savvy setter with a flair of grit to her game. You can tell she’s a fierce competitor and will guide this program for the next three years.
Hannah Gardner Hannah Gardner 5'10" | S Kickapoo | 2025 State MO – 6’0” – Kickapoo
Kickapoo runs a 6-2 and rightfully so because Hannah is a big blocking lefty opposite that can crush it and puts up a big block to get around. I would like to see her running a 5-1 to see how much she would do offensively in that position. A great setter and hitter for the Chiefs
