Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Meghan Donoughue Meghan Donoughue 5'11" | S Friendswood | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-11 Right Side/Setter (HS: Friendswood/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Lindenwood University)
Meg is currently ranked as the 124th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Friendswood High School and also plays club for Houston Stellar. Miss Donoughue is so versatile on the court due to her ability to attack and set at a high level. Call her the mailwoman because she can deliver! As a setter, her jump sets hit the bull-eye over and over due to her awesome posture at the point of contact. She has awesome power in her upper body and the ball just flies out of her hands fast. During out of system plays, she does a fantastic job of turning and pushing the ball to the perfect zone for her hitters to contact the ball. As an attacker, Meghan can thread the needle through a block and also turn on the ball to hit down the line with power. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at Lindenwood University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Rheanna Deen-Jackson Rheanna Deen-Jackson 6'1" | MB Atascocita | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-1 Middle (HS: Atascocita/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: University of Nevada at Las Vegas)
Rheanna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official watch list and will have no problem making the list when we update it next. She plays volleyball at Atascocita High School and club for Houston Skyline. Miss Deen-Jackson has been very dominant out of the middle position for quite a while now. She has the size and power that can go against anyone on the opposite side of the net. The length in her arms allow her to be a massive threat on the defensive side of the ball and on offense as well. The way she gets up and on top of the ball during quick sets make it very difficult for any back row to slow her down if there is no block directly in front of her. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Aniya Joseph Aniya Joseph 6'0" | OH Harlan | 2024 State TX [2024] 6-0 Outside (HS: Harlan/Club: San Antonio Juniors /Verbal: West Texas A&M)
Aniya is currently an unranked prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official watch list. She plays for Harlan High School and plays club for the San Antonio Juniors volleyball program. Miss Joseph is a very explosive attacker who can light up a stat book in a hurry. She is a huge reason why her high school team has been one of the best in the state over the last few years. This two-sport stud also shines on the hardwood for basketball. I love how Harlan uses her all around the court offensively. When they bring her around to the middle for a second tempo shot, it is very difficult for opposing defenses to game plan for, let alone stop. Her lightning quick arm swing provides a ton of firepower for any squad she is on. She has been both a middle and played on the pins in her volleyball career so that means she is extremely versatile. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at West Texas A&M University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
