Bergant’s high school resume is one simply full of success, both individually and with multiple state titles competing for Lake Catholic. She has been a primary force offensively during the fall and made the shift to a new club situation with AVC 17 Red this season. Opening the 17 Open division as the #12 overall seed, AVC 17 Red has big talent, including Bergant’s versatility to score as a middle or at the pins if needed. Her action in the middle includes quick and intentional movement to get herself available in transition, while her 6’1 frame helps her create a high touch point that includes aggressive power in her swing.

An all-Ohio performer and state champion from Lake Catholic, Bergant has made some of the steadiest progress throughout her prep career as she was dominant this past Fall high school season. Her competitive maturity matches well her tools to be able to attack and score with good range and big power as a middle. Her switch to compete with AVC this club season is a big move for her and this team.

Bergant was a DV 3rd team all-Ohio selection after helping lead Lake Catholic to another state title this past fall. She was the Cougars’ top offensive threat at a career high 420 kills and 4.6 k/s average. At 6’1, she is an aggressive combo option that can score with good power from the middle or at the pins. Currently one of few uncommitted prospects on AVC 17 Red, she makes a big move from RockCity to add key skills and experience to an already loaded team.

Bergant competes for RockCity ‘s top 17U team an is among the upper tier of these rankings due to her versatility and swiss army-like skill set. Her biggest attribute is her offensive prowess that includes a heavy arm and the fact she can score through any position and tempo across the net. As she is a great athlete, she is improving in areas such as her back row defense given her quick reactions and range that her 6’1 length can create. Bergant has even spent some time setting and although this is not her primary position, she can handle the ball well in all directions.

Bergant will return to the club season better in all aspects of her game. Her contributions to Lake Catholic’s DV state title run in 2024 were significant, including team highs of 16 kills and a .421 efficiency, in addition to four blocks. She was second on the team offensively at 2.9 k/s. At 6’1, her versatility can be a key factor as well as she can score at either pin or through middle options. Bergant is the most significant underclassman contributing this season for the Cougars. Although just a sophomore, she saw a lot of court time in 2023. She is garnering attention as one of the better prospects in this Ohio 2027 class as, at 6’1, she has good physicality and an aggressive arm, which is producing 2.6 k/s this season on a .230 efficiency. Bergant can score on the left side and in the middle, using her length to her advantage to overpower opposing net defense. She is on a stretch of double-digit kills performances including consecutive back-to-back career bests of 16 total kills.
