Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My game play style is characterized by good observation and adaptability. I posses the ability to adjust my approach in response to the styles and skill levels and styles of other players. I consistently bring maximum effort to every match, regardless of the opponent I face.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I would characterize my mentality as focused and composed under pressure. Instead of letting losses affect me, I use them as opportunities for learning and growth. Both in sports and academics, my personality is defined by hard work and resilience. When I set a goal, I am dedicated to achieving it to the best of my ability.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Throughout the year, I've been active in clubs like the Latino Student Union, Women in Sports, and Talk A Mile. I also serve as a junior coach for my volleyball club's classes and summer camps. At school, I earned a scholarship for my GPA and donor stewardship. I'm proud of receiving the Got Grit award on my freshman team and being named Player of the Year in my club.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
My leadership qualities have significantly developed during my time as co-captain of my volleyball team. This role has taught me the importance of empathy and understanding others' feelings and perspectives. Additionally, I've found leadership opportunities in mentoring younger girls in volleyball, where I not only teach the game but also emphasize the importance of building meaningful connections
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I've faced many challenges in my life, and I know there will be more ahead. One of the toughest was enduring consecutive losses during my 14s volleyball season. Though staying positive was challenging, I refused to dwell on negativity or quit. Instead, I pushed myself even harder, focusing on supporting my team in every way possible.
What type of college are you looking for?
I'm searching for a college that will nurture both my passion for volleyball and my academic interests. Volleyball is my love, and I aspire to compete at an advanced level, learning from diverse coaches and programs. I am eager to attend a college with a positive environment where I can form new friendships and thrive academically and athletically.
