She may look sweet in her profile pic, but Miss Hanchar is a beast once the first whistle is blown. Explosive, springy and always active in all parts of the game, Caroline’s ability to score points on the attack, prevent opponent’s points with her defense and solid serve receive make her a nice, all-around option on the outside in the class of ‘27. Coach Travis Fuller has this squad playing in an ultra-fast offense, and Caroline has fit in quite nicely with the tempo.

Springy, quick and smart, Caroline is an active, six-rotation outside that is next-level ready. She’s been starring on Cathedral for a couple of seasons now, and has all the tools to be a serviceable, primary-passing outside. Although she looks narrow, the strength in her swinging shoulder is heavy, her block is consistent, and her lithe build is much stronger than she looks. Her stamina and conditioning are top notch as well—-she can shoulder the load of being a primary attacker at an open level, and makes it seem effortless.

A springy and athletically active outside, Caroline is a primary passer that plays much bigger and stronger than her lithe 5’10” frame might tell the untrained eye. Already accustomed to being the primary attacker at both her high-end high school and top notch club programs, Miss Hanchar is a terminal player in all aspects of this game, and can carry a team offensively and defensively when allowed to do so.

Although more lithe than your average Division I outside, Caroline is a terminal hitter from the left and can be the six-rotation stud a team is looking for. With multiple years under her belt for blue-blood volleyball program Cathedral, Caroline makes gravity look irrelevant from time to time, and whips her attacking arm through the hitting zone with ease. I like her all-around game; she’s got all the skills to do everything a next-level outside can do, and will continue to perfect her craft and her volleyball IQ this coming club season.

Lithe but explosive, Caroline is the lead outside hitter for 3A top-ranked Cathedral this fall. Her whip of an arm accompanies her quick-footed transition, making her one of the toughest to defend against when in-system. She isn’t a flash in the pan by any means; Miss Hanchar has been this way for years, and is just now getting the attention she has earned. Whomever earns her commitment will have a high motor outside that can score from anywhere.

Similar to Jenna above, Caroline is even MORE explosive on the left pin. Already familiar with a fast offense, Caroline’s ability to transition quickly and load up on her explosive jump is the work she brings to reward her team with a terminal kill. Part of the blue-blood Cathedral volleyball program, she’s one of the x-factors in the Irish being as successful as they are—-and will need every bit of her talent to get past 3A defending champ Roncalli.

Caroline was a key figure in Academy’s 16-1 earning a bronze medal in what was, top to bottom, one of the toughest divisions of any at CZ this past weekend. Time and time again, when the Yeti needed a side out, Miss Hanchar was there to answer the call. If memory serves, she’s even stronger and more terminal now than she was just a couple of months ago for 3A power Cathedral. Her ability to take over a match at a moment’s notice and make the game look businesslike to her makes her THAT much more marketable for the next level. Caroline understood the assignment, and was one of the top players in the division this past weekend.
