They say that small school setters are hardest to evaluate because they may not see the toughest competition during the fall. Not so with Bethany, as she receives training from Boiler Juniors and will have a greater understanding of running an offense than other setters in her class because of her club schedule alone. Her location on Saturday was highly consistent, she has soft hands to minimize ball handling issues, and always seemed to find the right hitter in the right situation in 6-on-6 drills. Her future might be running a 5-1 for a smaller school or even being part of a 6-2 for a larger school that needs a mobile setter that can easily get to bad to average passing.

As just a sophomore, Ring led the Eagles as their setter this past fall and had herself a great year. She finished first in assists, second in digs and third in aces. Bethany will be spending her club season with Boiler Jrs 16 Gold, so I expect she will see a ton of growth over the next 9 months. I cannot wait to see her alongside her class of ’27 high school teammate,

Despite being one of the youngest players at the Top 250 Expo, Bethany was one of the top setters. She was smart, clean, and efficient. Her footwork was next level, and she just fed her hitters time and time again. She could make great connections instantaneously with her hitters and spread the offense well.
