Grill does a great job taking advantage of her size in the middle. West Geauga head coach Amber Baker said Grill is very demanding on the court, often calling for balls. Baker said Grill has been trying to increase her hitting speed and get quicker on reads at the net, noting it’s a matter of players getting to know their bodies, in the early part of 2025. Grill had 151 kills, 33 aces, 17 solo blocks and 31 assisted blocks this past season for the Wolverines.

Grill (*pictured) has good tools in the middle with a net presence that can be a big factor on both sides of the ball. She has good athleticism and mobility for this quicker phase of the offense and with good space and timing her range and contact quality improves. Her length creates advantages at the net as well defensively, which can be an area that helps this team compete even better if their tall lineup through their 6-2 format can increasingly slow down or send back balls when blocking.

Grill was second offensively at 2.1 k/s for the Wolverines in 2024 while leading her team in efficiency at .261 and in total blocks. Earning a Chagrin Valley all-conference honorable mention nod, she has good potential to become an elite middle. She has good athleticism and when on time around her setter she uses a high elbow contact that can generate some good pace. More aggressive transition and a big approach runway will increase her impact and efficiency.

Grill (pictured) uses her size well to control the net. It’s hard to hit balls past her in the middle, especially when she doubles up with other players including twin sister Anna, who is the same height. Grill does a great job swing blocking. Grill takes a lot of solid swings at the net giving solid defenders trouble. Grill is also a nice server for the Wolverines. Grill had 151 kills, 33 aces, 31 assisted blocks and 17 solo blocks last year.
