Windy City Qualifiers – Recap 16’s Division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Windy City Qualifier was full of exceptional volleyball competition in all levels of the 16's Divisions. The Florida teams participating were a demonstration of the high-quality players in the state. Several teams continue their hunt for the ticket to the USAV Nationals in Las Vegas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Open division has two teams finishing in the top 10, Tribe 16 Elite Cardinal (4th place) and Tribe 16 Elite Navy (7th place). The Cardinal team counted with the excellent performances of several players including, outside hitters <a href="https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/giavanna_artiles3">Giavanna "Gigi" Artiles</a> 6'2" and [player_tooltip player_id='287754' first='Mia' last='Gold'] 6'0", setter <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/17310683/Riley-McCaughey">[player_tooltip player_id='529616' first='Riley' last='McCaughey']</a> 5'10" and middle <a href="https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/beatriz_matos">[player_tooltip player_id='529618' first='Beatriz' last='Matos']</a> 6'0". The Navy team had a good run showing their hard work and commitment. The 5'4" setter <a href="https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/ava_flores3">Ava Flores</a> did a great job handling the ball across the net, outside hitters <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/17463656/emmi-merhi">[player_tooltip player_id='534149' first='Emmi' last='Merhi']</a> 6'0", [player_tooltip player_id='510873' first='Adriana' last='Garcia'] 6'0" and right side [player_tooltip player_id='518970' first='Sydney' last='Guerrier'] 6'1"performances was consistent and efficient. Team OT 16 Roberto continue to improve assisted by the 5'7" libero <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19771623/avery-stephens">[player_tooltip player_id='532296' first='Avery' last='Stephens']</a>, outside hitters <a href="https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/sophia_stallworth3">[player_tooltip player_id='535524' first='Sophia' last='Stallworth']</a> 6'0" and [player_tooltip player_id='535514' first='Maddey' last='Cruse'] 6'0".</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tampa North 16 Black finished in second place in the USA division with a record of 9-1. This team has a strong roster including the outside hitter <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19031714/makiah-bryant">[player_tooltip player_id='535512' first='Makiah' last='Bryant']</a>, lefty opposite <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19864759/olivia-burns">[player_tooltip player_id='535507' first='Olivia' last='Burns']</a> , middle <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19031717/maria-canillas">Maria Canillas</a> and libero <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/19030041/Addison-Slater">[player_tooltip player_id='528754' first='Addison' last='Slater']</a>.
