Class of 2025 State Rankings Players to Know: Middles

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Prep Dig Texas State Rankings were updated last month in a moment that was long expected for volleyball prospects in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>More than moving players up and down in a list, the rankings update offers us an opportunity to paint a more realistic picture of the current scenario in Texas and highlight the prospects who experienced significant development over the last few months.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The process of updating the rankings also gives us, Prep Dig scouts, the perfect excuse to learn more and more about the players, be it by attending matches or tournaments in person or researching online, and now with the list released, it's time we share some of our findings.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the last few weeks, I've been going over the rankings, highlighting some players in each class. With the Classes of 2027 and 2026 already covered, it's time we look into the 2025s. She's a beast at the net and gets to impact the game on both sides of the ball with her athleticism and pure power. Rogers is an elite blocker who does everything when it comes to getting stops at the highest level, from reading opponents to moving smoothly and playing aggressively with her arms above the net. She has a great size at six feet but stands out because of how mobile and quick she is when running around on the court. Sims' incredible footwork makes of her a very impactful player at the net as she is very smooth when going from pin to pin to block and also when she makes her offensive approach. Her offense is truly noteworthy as Brown makes a strong approach and unleashes a lot of power from her right arm, often leaving blockers and defenders incapable of doing anything to stop her. Brown has been playing as an outside hitter more recently and that has helped her develop other aspects of her game, such as passing and defense. She's physical enough to dominate the net on both sides of the ball and does that, providing a viable scoring option down the middle and a solid blocking presence for her team. Awagu is big and strong and can hit different sets, but perhaps the most noticeable aspect of her offense is her incredible footwork, which gives her the ability to have very quick sets. She's an excellent blocker, who uses her length well, never loses focus on what's going on across the net and is always ready to react to whatever happens. Jones is also a reliable offensive player, who has what it takes to score at a high volume if needed.
