She’s physical enough to dominate the net on both sides of the ball and does that, providing a viable scoring option down the middle and a solid blocking presence for her team. Awagu joined Alamo this season coming from SA Juniors and will be another promising middle in action in the 17-18 Girls Division with Alamo 16 Premier. She first stood out during the 2021 high school season and has only gotten better. Her size and long arms are the first things that impress when you look at Awagu for the first time, but her game complements that well as she uses her lower body to get off the floor really well and has been working to improve her skills. Also capable of playing on the right, Awagu is a strong offensive player and a solid blocker.
