We are super excited to partner with USA Volleyball once again to run the official college recruiting showcase for the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships. The first session was held on July 2nd at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. The one aspect that sets our showcases apart from every other one in the country is how we offer coverage, before, during, and after it is completed. This series of articles will discuss those special players that stood out for various reasons to our court coaches and scouts. They have won our prestigious Top Performer award. Let's meet the winners!

Caitlyn Rother [2027] 5-10 Setter (HS: Los Alamitos/Club: Tstreet/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Caitlyn is currently an unranked prospect in the 2027 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at Los Alamitos High School and also plays for the Tstreet volleyball club. Miss Rother put on a show during the scrimmage portion of the showcase. I loved how she took control of her offense and spread the ball around to all hitters. Her court coaches loved coaching her and said she was s true leader. She has great size in the setting position at this young age and will get even stronger as the years go by. What is astounding is how the ball just pops out of her hands so quickly. It is one of the fastest releases I saw all night. By using her jump set regularly for every location, she fooled the blockers quite a bit, which resulted in many one on one situations for her pins hitters. There is a lot to like about her game and we enjoyed having her in the showcase. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award.

Mia Fitzgerald [2026] 5-10 Outside (HS: Lakeridge/Club: Rose City/Verbal: Uncommitted)

Mia is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 Class according to our Prep Dig Oregon State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Lakeridge High School and club for the Rose City volleyball program. Miss Fitzgerald wowed her court coaches with her quickness as she moved all around the court with ease. Her footwork made her float around the court like a ghost so effortlessly. The quickness at which she got to her touch point from defensive transition showed us that she was elite. Another factor that stood out to us was how she reached very high above the net and contacted the ball at her peak. That high reach made it very hard for opposing blockers to time well. Blessed with a very fast wrist snap, the ball popped off of her hands with electricity when she attacked. This award was well earned as she killed shot after shot on her court. She was definitely one of the kill leaders during the scrimmage drills. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='210628' first='McKenna' last='Morton'] [2026] 5-8 Outside (HS: Prince of Peace/Club: Excel/Verbal: Uncommitted)

McKenna is currently an unranked prospect in the 2026 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but is on our official Watch List. She plays volleyball at Prince of Peace High School and club for the Excel volleyball program. Miss Morton is well known by us as she has earned a Top Performer award at previous showcases in Texas. Her court coached mentioned to me a few times throughout the night that she was a star for their court. Both as an attacker and defender, she played at a very high level for the entire two hours. After watching the video, I agree that she earned this award again. By having her in serve receive during the scrimmage, her court was always in attack mode. Her ball control is excellent as the ball just comes off of her platform so well and soft. She has the attitude that you want in a six rotation outside hitter and the skills to back it up. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Top Performer award for this showcase.
