Five Setters That Set the Bar: PD Illinois Stock Up Showcase

Full of potential and energy in the gym, the floor generals needed to be at the peak of their game. They were up for the challenge, ready to lead the charge, letting the day know who the voice, ball handler, tone setter, and more is. This group didn't let us down and was just as determined as the rest.    Gabby is a prototype of what you want in a teammate, especially your ball handler. Her smile doesn't leave her face; she enjoys her role and the work it takes. She is the hardest worker on the court majority of the time. Learning from her peers, listening to them, and her coaches, making sure they are where they need to be. Fundamental true, a hustler on the court, agile, steady hands, and the ability to make every play.     Ruby, during drills, showed off a great deal of consistency, hustle, speed, and ability to execute every set. Using her length and quickness, she gets under each ball for a well jump set to get that ball moving around. She place the ball in the hitters hands flawlessly. Moving to the net, she is a threat on the net as an attacker and in the back row with her coverage.     Madison is dynamic as a setter. She is a hustler, accurate and consistent, always making sure to get to the ball with her quickness. Good decision-making and hands make her reliable, using her athleticism on her jump sets puts good height on her jump sets and backets. Rotating to the right side, she is a threat with her swing.     Leaders come in different forms, always, and that's what you want from your setters. When it comes to Maeve, she may be soft-spoken, even if she is normally louder; she leads with her skills and her hands. She has a touch on the ball that is admired, quick, and decisive. Has good size and utilizes it, knows how to set the middle.     [player_tooltip player_id='983534' first='Bailey' last='Voss'] walked in quietly with the crowd, and that was the last time you would not hear or mention one half of the Voss Twins. Bailey, a floor general with good size, athleticism, true grit, and better skills, came to play. Good ball placement, height, and making sure to adjust and communicate with her hitters all over.
