With length for days and transition speed that looks quite smooth, Celeste is a taller-than-you-think middle that excels with setters that understand how to set her high enough. Those long limbs, coupled with a high attack touch, allow her the opportunity to go over slower blocks regularly. On defense, Miss Wiegman closes on both pins equally well, and was an x-factor for making balls behind her easier to dig because of her ability to slow attacks down.

Long-armed and springy, Celeste really showed out at the Freshman Showcase a month ago. She uses her length and jumping ability to regularly go over blocks. Additionally, she’s tough to go against on defense BECAUSE of those long arms. With the footwork she currently has, she’s probably an M2 at the next level, but there’s a lot of time to go before any college decision needs to be made. For now, look for Miss Wiegman to continue to terminate in front of the setter.
