Prep Dig Bracket Busters Brings New Format To Appleton
Everyone gets in the spirit of the NCAA Mens and Womens Basketball Tournament come March. It's “March Madness” afterall. At Prep Dig, we are bringing a little bit of the magic to “Prep Dig Bracket Busters” in a bit of a different format.
Teams will be put into a 16 team bracket right away! Every game matters! This isn't a single elimination format, we will play matches out to ALL places where teams will get a four game guarantee.
How Does This Work?
Saturday, March 29 - Ages 12s, 13s, and 14s
12s - Courts A-D
13s - Courts E-H
14s - Seasonal 1-4
Sunday, March 30 - Ages 15s, 16s, and 17/18s
17s/18s - Courts A-D
16s - Courts E-H
15s - Seasonal 1-4
At the Community First Champion Center in Appleton, this sets up to be a perfect storm for some exciting volleyball from the get go. With 16 teams in each division, they will have four courts to play within their age group that will allow for one match on, one match on type of format. Teams will be placed into brackets right away - that's right, no pool play. Matches will be the standard best two out of three sets with the third set going to 15. Teams are guaranteed four matches with the final championship rounds being at 3:30. There will be a 30 minute break for teams and officials at 12:00 (may be staggered for age groups to not have a flood of teams rushing to concessions at 12:00).

Registration Details:
Registration for ALL Prep Dig Events will open on September 1. For the Prep Dig Bracket Busters, we are anticipating a strong number of registrants right away. This would be a great year end event for a regional team and one for national teams to use as a way to prep for big matches come the final day of tournaments with a gold bracket feel from the start.
Teams are allowed to sign up for an older age group. Seeding will be based on what we use on the AES rankings as well as the “eye test”. This is definitely an NCAA Tournament type feel with plenty of Prep Dig Scouts in attendance, teams can “advance” themselves after a win on a bracket like they would in the NCAA tournament, and there will be champions crowned at the end of the day!
