KC Metro Power 15: Week 2

St. Thomas Aquinas (7-0)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Still top dog for now! They beat number two Blue Valley North in straight sets and did it rather easily. Blue Valley North (9-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With their only loss to number 1, no need to move them down considering they have wins over ranked Blue Valley Northwest and Mill Valley.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>3. Olathe West (14-2)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Olathe West dropped a match to Seaman this week, the defending state champion. This loss isn't a big blemish on their record so they hold the 3 spot. Mill Valley (9-2)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mill Valley picked up their second loss of the year to number 2 Blue Valley North. They also beat ranked Blue Valley Northwest behind 14 kills from [player_tooltip player_id='222086' first='Morgan' last='Sears'].</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>5. Blue Valley West (3-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West schedule will pick up but they still have a win over St. James to their credit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>6. St. James (11-2)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>St. James had a loss to 5th ranked Blue Valley West and was defeated in three sets by defending state champ Lafayette, Class 5 in Missouri. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>7. Blue Valley Southwest (8-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Timberwolves are off to a great start. They took their first loss to Topeka Seaman as well, who has clipped a couple of our top ten teams. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>8. Park Hill South (14-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Panthers move up after picking up a few wins to run their total up to 14. Bishop Miege (2-1-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Miege hasn't had a busy schedule to start the year and slides down to nine.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>10. Liberty North (5-1)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Eagles move up to the 10th spot after two wins this week. They have a test looming with rival Liberty.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>11. Liberty (10-2)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liberty picked up some wins last week including one over previously ranked Lee's Summit North. Katelyn Spengler and [player_tooltip player_id='153930' first='Abigail' last='Mullen'] both had 11 kills in the sweep.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>12. Park Hill (5-2)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Park Hill picked up another loss but in a five-setter to 8th ranked Park Hill South. St. Michael's the Archangel (8-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After starting in the preseason rankings and dropping out for a week, St. Michael's returned after knocking off Marquette and St. Pius last week. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>14. Blue Valley Northwest (6-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>They hold losses to Blue Valley North and Mill Valley, so not much to be ashamed of. Belton (11-0)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Belton joins the rankings with an 11-0 ranking. They get a big test tonight with Park Hill South.
