Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Volleyball is my passion. I am a great team player and think quick on my feet which is important as a setter. I love to uplift my teammates and have a positive attitude on the court even during challenges. I am consistent and always believe in "bettering" the ball. Strong VB IQ and court awareness.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that I have "nothing drops" mentality. I am always going for balls and moving my body on the court. I believe in perseverance and never giving up.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm involved in Girl Scouts and my church youth group. Volunteerism and serving others are very important in both of these groups.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been the captain on my previous teams and I feel leadership is a strong quality of mine. I always feel strongly about giving 100% during the game and in practice. As a setter I have to be a good leader, run the court and encourage my teammates. I care about helping others and making the world a better place which is why I volunteer my time.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Last season during club, we were at NEQ, and I twisted my ankle in a game. At this time, I played all the way around and we didn't have a large team. Even through discomfort I felt like it was my responsibility to step up and push through the pain once cleared by the trainer. I had to dig deep, play smart and stay positive. We ended up getting 5th in the tournament in a higher division.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with coaches, staff, and facilities that will maximize my potential as a player. I am also looking for an excellent education to provide success for me after my volleyball career.
