About Charlotte

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play a smart game. I wanna make the play that will get us the point, not the one that makes me look good. I want to help my team in anyway possible. No matter where I’m playing on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

If I were to summarize my mentality I'd say that I'm someone who brings relief on the court. I always believe that we as a team need to have each other's back so I make sure to encourage my teammates and keep a positive outlook. Personality wise I’m goofy and love to make people laugh. I love comedy. I practically know the words to all of my favorite comedians stand up.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've won three academic achievement awards for my high school seasons. I am a senior staff writer on my school newspaper, the Talon. I'm also in the National Honors Society at my high school. I also play Softball for my high school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I owe a lot of who I'am today to my coaches. My coach Sierra, who coached me when I was on Reef 14u Nationals, really gave me a lot more confidence on the court so that I go for the aggressive plays. I'm also extremely grateful for my head coach Brock Redmond who always continues to work on my playing. I think both coach Sierra and Brock both gave me the example of what it looks like to lead.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for somewhere I can pursue my volleyball while also pursuing my academics. I value my schooling just as much as sports. I have a passion for writing so being somewhere I can pursue creative and journalistic style writing really intrigues me.
