Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is reading as much as I can before the start of a game. I try to figure out where weaknesses my opponents have and where their strengths are. I play strategically and with confidence. I play with passion and for my team. I go into each set with the mindset of coming out ahead of the game.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m an extremely passionate and committed person. I work hard on and off the court to achieve my goals. I travel over four hours round-trip, three to four times weekly for club volleyball so I can compete with the best. I never give up on myself and I’m determined to always improve as a player and person.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been in FFA for 3 year and received a top academic award for the highest GPA. I volunteer with the Gallia Academy Athletic Boosters to help the youth programs in my community.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
As a student athlete, I’ve developed a strong communication, work ethic and managing time. Sports have taught me how to handle pressure and be resilient. I’ve learned how to be a leader by demonstrating mental strength and positivity. I’ve been a competitive multi-sport athlete almost my whole life and it has taught me how to be a team player on and off a court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I have faced frustration multiple times and at several different levels. It can be difficult when a coach or teammate doesn’t see you. Or, if you’re not performing as well as you should or not reaching your full potential. It can mentally overcome you and make you feel like you’re not capable. I feel this is where you have to communicate and not let fear or frustration stop you.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college that will provide me with the best education and push me to my full potential academically and athletically. I want to continue to grow! I feel like your team is your family and that’s important to me. I want to attend a college that supports their athletes and coaches that care about success in all areas.
