Lily Barry, 2023, 5’6, OH, U-High
One of the offensive mainstays to the U-High team Lily was second n the team with 242 kills and added 20 blocks, 33 aces and 178 digs to her seasonal totals. With six players graduating, look for Lily to be the goto player in the near future!
Kamryn Chaney, 2023, 6’0, RS/OH, Marist
Playing more on varsity toward the end of the season, Kamryn added a spark off the bench. She was having some natural consistency issues early on, but Kamryn will outgrows that as she sees more playing time.
Grace Egan, 2023, 6’0, OH, Sterling
Leading the team with 339 kills, Grace is one of the keys to Sterlings’ state title. She has a powerful swing and should only get stronger. With Grace returning for the next three years, they will be solid at the pin.
Kathryn Sandt, 2023, 5’11, S/RS, Nazareth Academy
Nazareth will lose Elizabeth Sandt to graduation, but younger sister Kathryn will take over the reins as setter. Also a right-side hitter, Kathryn had 180 kills, 16 blocks, 28 aces and 229 digs for the season. Also, a brilliant defender looks for her to get increased playing time in 2020.
Elise Ward, 2023, 5’11, MB, Marist
Seeing limited time with varsity, next year she should make the move permanently. The more experience Elise gets, the better prepared she will be to follow in other Marist middle footsteps.
