About Harper
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a hard-working, high IQ player. I love the game, I love learning fundamentals and new techniques. I am a team player. I bring a steadiness to the court because I do not get rattled.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a go-getter and a gym rat. I am the player that is the first in the gym and the last to leave. I am the hardest worker in the weight room and the teammate asking for someone to meet me at the gym on or day off. I am relentless in my pursuit to get better.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have been on the Headmasters list for all A's every semester in middle school and am currently taking all Honors classes as a sophomore. I have served on both the Student Leadership team (8th) and as a Student Ambassador (9th).
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I love to serve my community, whether it's helping organize classrooms in low income areas of our community or visiting a nursing home to bring a smile to the face of our elderly neighbors. This Christmas I am shopping for and delivering presents to the under privileged in my community with my volleyball team.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
When I was 13 years old I did not make the 13-1 team for my first year of club. I was devastated. However, in hindsight, it's one of the best things that could have happened to me because it taught me to WORK and made me hungry for success. Two club seasons later and I have been on the 1's team each season, started on varsity for my high school as a freshman, and was invited to be apart of NTDP.
What type of college are you looking for?
I hope to attend a large university in the Power 4. I want an academically challenging school and am willing to look at any location in the country. I want a program that has a goal of filling up the gym for each game and making a run at a National Championship all four years!
