rounds out the Top 10 and stands as the only committed player on the list — and her story makes the moment even bigger. A middle who continues trending upward, Halverson has committed to Augustana University, following in the footsteps of her mother, an alum of the program. The connection adds meaning, but her play is what earned her the spot. Anna has steadily built her game into one that translates well to the next level.
On the court, Halverson brings size, physicality, and a growing offensive presence in the middle. She runs efficient routes in front of the setter, establishes early positioning, and finishes quicks with confidence and pace. Anna stays available in transition and continues to improve her range, showing she can score even when the set drifts off the net. Her timing and patience allow her to stay efficient against bigger, more physical blocks.
Defensively, Halverson continues to make strides as a net presence. She reads the setter well, closes seams with discipline, and presses across the tape with strong hands to create touches that slow opposing offenses. Her motor and work ethic show every match, and she has continued producing through club season against strong competition. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Why do you want to play college volleyball?
~I want to play college volleyball because I love the game. I’m also excited to keep improving, compete at a higher level, and be part of a close-knit team that pushes each other to win—and have fun doing it.
What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season?
~During club season, I practice twice a week and lift twice a week. In the offseason—mainly during the summer—I attend my high school camps twice a week and lift at least 2–3 times a week.
How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life?
~When I’m not playing sports or doing schoolwork, I try to spend as much time as I can with my family and friends.
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
~My strengths as a player include staying positive on and off the court, reading the court when hitting to score a kill, and putting up a strong block. One of my weaknesses is that I sometimes overthink during games, which can cause me to hesitate instead of reacting quickly. I’m working on trusting my instincts more and staying confident in my decisions, especially under pressure.
What are your academic interests or intended major?
~I am interested in dentistry or something related to pediatrics.

Anna is the No. 4-ranked middle blocker in North Dakota for the class of 2027, and for good reason. She is an exceptional athlete who moves effortlessly at the net, showcasing some of the best footwork I’ve seen from a middle. Her ability to transition quickly and efficiently allows her to be a constant threat, whether she’s closing blocks, adjusting to the setter, or attacking in tempo.
Not only is Anna a fierce competitor, but she also leads by example. She plays with intensity, focus, and a relentless drive to elevate both her game and her team’s performance. Her presence at the net is undeniable—she reads hitters well, presses strong on blocks, and has a fast arm swing that makes her a legitimate offensive weapon.
Coaches looking for a middle who can impact both sides of the ball, move with precision, and lead with her actions will find that Anna checks every box. She is a difference-maker and a player to watch as she continues to develop into a dominant force.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
