Why do you want to play college volleyball?
I want to play in college because volleyball has always been a big part of my life and being able to take it to the next level and play in college has always been a dream especially because both my parents played sports in college.
What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season?
In season I have practice 1-3 times a a week as well as lifting at least 2 days a week and tournaments just about every weekend for club ball and for high school practice or games everyday with 1-2 tournaments, with lifting class or lifting twice a week with one day of yoga in the mornings.
What are your academic interests or intended major?
I am interested in either going into the medical field like PT, nurse or dermatologist or major in business.
How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life?
It gets difficult during times but i think telling myself to jot procrastinate things helps and just to get things done right away and utilize spartan period which is where you go in early before school starts to get extra help with school.

is a player that continually finds ways to keep her team in rallies. What stood out to me was her ability to handle difficult contacts and stay composed when points became extended. She doesn’t panic when the game speeds up. Instead, she stays under control, trusts her platform, and works to give her team quality first contacts that keep the offense available.
The thing that keeps standing out is how hard she competes for every ball. Whether it’s covering extra court, chasing down a tough touch, or stepping into a serve receive responsibility, Gretchen approaches every point with the same mindset. She doesn’t take plays off, and that consistency helps bring stability to the back row. Teammates know what they’re going to get from her, and that’s a valuable quality to have on the court.
What stands out about Gretchen’s leadership is that it shows up every rally. She communicates, stays engaged, and brings a steady presence that teammates can rely on during critical moments. As matches get tighter, she remains composed and continues doing the little things that help teams win. Players who can be trusted in those moments become incredibly valuable, and Gretchen continues to show those qualities every time she steps on the court.~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

doesn’t guess, she reads it. She gets to the spot early and takes the right angle to the ball, which is why her passes stay clean. She’s not just keeping balls alive, she’s giving her setter something to run. That consistency in first contact stands out. At RTDP, she’s going to be one of the ones keeping things steady.

I haven’t seen Snowden play until today but I am sure glad I got chance to see her in action. Snowden is technically strong in all facets. She does a very good job angling her arms early and consistently keeps a strong, stable platform. She reads hitters well and positions herself effectively on defense, allowing her to make controlled, playable digs. Her discipline and court awareness contribute to a strong overall defensive performance.

checks in as the No. 8 overall prospect and the No. 2 libero in North Dakota’s Class of 2028, and she brings a complete, high-level skill set to the back row. Technically, she is advanced for her age—her platform is quiet and consistent, her angles are intentional, and she does an excellent job absorbing pace to deliver clean first contact. Defensively, Gretchen reads hitters early, moves efficiently, and covers a large amount of court with disciplined footwork and quick first steps.
What elevates her game even further is how she pairs those skills with leadership and competitiveness. She communicates constantly in serve receive, organizes the back court, and brings a calm confidence that steadies her teammates. Her coachability stands out in real time—she listens, adjusts, and immediately applies feedback, which allows her to continue tightening her positioning and reads as matches progress.
Gretchen’s energy is contagious. She competes on every rally, celebrates teammates’ success, and raises the intensity of the gym both on and off the court. When college coaches watch her, they see more than a skilled libero—they see a player who can anchor a defense and elevate a program’s culture. Get to

has quietly become one of the top defensive specialists in the 2028 class — surpassing the 400-dig mark and ranking among the top three defenders in her grade. She plays with fearless quickness, reacting to sharp angles and covering seams that most players can’t touch. Gretchen brings the energy every time she steps on the floor, and this week she’ll need to pair that hype with precision. Against a balanced offense like Fargo South’s, her first-contact consistency and ability to read tips will be the difference between extending rallies and giving up free points. Coaches looking for a vocal, high-IQ defender — Gretchen checks every box. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

has the instincts and grit that make her one of the toughest defensive players in the class. She reads hitters’ shoulders beautifully, getting to balls before most players even react. Gretchen is always balanced, which gives her range and consistency on digs. She serves tough, keeping opponents off balance and generating free-ball opportunities for her team. Coaches looking for a high-IQ libero with a fearless mindset will want Gretchen on their radar.
