Balance 16s To Take On Prep Dig Resolution
The start of the 2020 club season is only a month away and Prep Dig is gearing up to kickoff the year with the Prep Dig Resolution tournament at the Fox Cities Champions Center in Appleton, Wisconsin January 4-5. Balance Volleyball Club out of the Madison area will be a team of dynamic athletes to compete at the 16s level.
Balance features a mix of top area athletes from the Madison area, ones who made contributions to their varsity teams this past season from Edgewood, McFarland, Madison Memorial, Lakeside Lutheran, and Verona. Plenty of these players have just finished their Freshman and Sophomore year and will be gearing up for even bigger roles in the 2020 season.

Crull, Fortune, and Pennekamp were part of the McFarland squad that were the Division 2 runner ups in Wisconsin this past season. Pennekamp had a breakout Sophomore year where she had nearly 400 kills, while hitting .327, good for 3.5 kills per set. Fortune was someone who was solid in right back and can step in and set as well, finishing with over 250 digs. Volleyball runs deep in the Fortune family as Maddy’s older sister Lizzy was an All State setter for McFarland and her cousin, Karissa Fortune is a top 2023 athlete for Appleton North and FC Elite. Maddy’s mom is the head coach at McFarland.
Madison Edgewood is a program that will be one of the favorites next season in Division 2 with a large core of returners. Conroy, Grosse, Barth, Vandenbrook, and Bondoc all play for Edgewood, with Barth being a Class of 2022 attacker out of the middle to keep tabs on. The Sophomore has experience with the USA High-Performance program and nearly 150 kills this past season, hitting over .300.
Rowan Schreiber is one to watch from the Class of 2023. An athletic 6’3 Freshman saw time for Madison Memorial this past fall where she tallied over 100 kills and 65 total blocks for her team that went 28-13.
