What Former Iowa Prep Volleyball Athletes Are Heading To The NCAA Tournament?

Iowa has always been well represented with athletes, especially with in-state programs having success. Northern Iowa and Iowa State have 18 total players from Iowa, but teams around the country will also be featuring former Iowa athletes, who will make their appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

West Des Moines Valley will have two athletes who are on top five teams in Hannah Lockin playing for Baylor and Madi Kubik for Nebraska. Dike-New Hartford is well represented with Baylee Petersen, Rachel Koop, and Taylor Hedges playing for Northern Iowa and Sydney Petersen for Texas.

An intriguing first-round match with a big Cedar Valley flavor will be when Northern Iowa takes on Mizzou at Nebraska. Northern Iowa has plenty of athletes from Iowa with many coming from the Cedar Valley area while Mizzou has Kylie DeBerg out of Hudson, Riley Sents from Grundy Center, and Kenna Sauer out of Ankeny Centennial.
